VIDEO: The “I’m going to start on Monday” CURSE (and how to fix it)

You know I’m so sick of hearing from people? The phrase “I’m going to start on Monday.”

Why? Because I know its a CURSE.

Wellness, health, weight loss, feeling good about yourself … is the sum of the cumulative actions taken over an extended period of time.

Every decision you make, effects every decision you make.

Each day that you wait, is just that many more missed opportunities to make the small changes that add up over time.

So start today.

Don’t put off for this “grand official day” when you are going to change.

Start right now. Begin with ONE tiny thing. Revise and add to your plan as you go. You will NEVER be 100% ready with all of your ducks in order BEFORE you begin, my little perfectionists.

Here’s  a little secret: the people that are the most successful at this for the long term, are the ones that get started when all the conditions are NOT right, when they were NOT ready.

MOST PEOPLE DO NOT wake up one day,  on Monday for example, and change EVERY poor behavior that has lead to their current state. THIS ISN’T HOW IT WORKS.  When it comes to change, black or white thinking is a recipe for failure when the initial spark of motivation wears off about 2-4 weeks in.

Remember, please don’t forget that even baby steps forward, is forward progress.

And please, let’s eradicate this “I’m going to start on Monday” crap and replace it with “I’m going to start RIGHT NOW.
