Best Ab Exercises For Women That Are Better Than Crunches

All you need is your core and a wall what I consider the best ab exercises for women!  I am calling them “better than crunches” because, quite frankly, they are.

Check out these “anti-rotational” ab exercises. Why are they so important for women? Well, the main focus of these moves AND of your core in general,  is to *prevent* motion at the pelvis, up/down or side to side.

Did you know that? Your core’s main function is to stop motion, not create it (ie flex and extend as you would do in a crunch.)

 

Another reason why these ab exercises are better than crunches is because they involve stability of one half of your body, and mobility of your other half.  The more muscles you involve in the action, the more calories you will burn during the exercise. Pretty simple, right?

If you want to test how truly strong your is, slow these two moves down and spend some time on 3 limbs. Your weaknesses will shine through in about 3 seconds. Work on that weak side by…. working on that weak side!  Have fun ladies!
